By using CanWePaddle (the “site”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.

Informational use only — no warranty

CanWePaddle shows live streamflow from public U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) gauges alongside plain-English paddling verdicts and estimated runnable ranges. It is an informational tool, not a safety authority. River conditions change quickly and vary widely between a gauge and where you actually paddle. We make no warranty — express or implied — that any reading, verdict, range, map link, or other information is accurate, current, or suitable for your trip.

You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions on the water. Always scout, wear a PFD, check current local advisories and outfitters, and turn back when conditions warrant. See our safety guide and methodology. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CanWePaddle and its operators are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of the site.

Data sources

Streamflow data is courtesy of the USGS National Water Information System and is used as public data; CanWePaddle is not affiliated with or endorsed by the USGS or any government agency. Runnable ranges are drawn from state water-trail programs, park services, and paddling organizations where published (cited per section) and are conservatively estimated otherwise.

Acceptable use

Please don't scrape the site at volume, attempt to disrupt it, or republish it wholesale as your own. You're welcome to link to any page, and outfitters may use the free embed widget as documented.
